Obituary of Wedge, David John

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, August 30th , 2022 of David John Wedge of Linkletter and formerly of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 73 years. David was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to his late parents Clifford and Margaret Wedge. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Cameron) Wedge and loving father of Aaron (Kendra) and Matthew (April) Wedge. Also lovingly remembered by his 4 grandchildren Quinten (Lyanne), Cassey (Joseph), Carter and Haddie, his 2 great-grandchildren Gannon and Ensley and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers and sisters: Janet (Wendall) Grady, Lloyd Wedge, Clarence (Muriel) Wedge, Keith Wedge, Roger (Debbie) Wedge, Betty Wedge, and Owen (Melinda) Wedge. Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his daughter Crystal Joy Jean Wedge, infant brother Michael, sister-in-law Elizabeth “Liz” Wedge, brother-in-law Reginald “Reg” Nicholson and father and mother-in-law Wallace and Ellamay Deighan. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd. Summerside until Friday, Sept. 2nd where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 5:30 p.m.. Visiting hours on Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in David’s memory to the Palliative Home Care Program or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
