Obituary of Wedge, David John
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, August 30th , 2022 of David John Wedge of Linkletter and formerly of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 73 years. David was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to his late parents Clifford and Margaret Wedge.
Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Cameron) Wedge and loving father of Aaron (Kendra) and Matthew (April) Wedge. Also lovingly remembered by his 4 grandchildren Quinten (Lyanne), Cassey (Joseph), Carter and Haddie, his 2 great-grandchildren Gannon and Ensley and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers and sisters: Janet (Wendall) Grady, Lloyd Wedge, Clarence (Muriel) Wedge, Keith Wedge, Roger (Debbie) Wedge, Betty Wedge, and Owen (Melinda) Wedge.
Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his daughter Crystal Joy Jean Wedge, infant brother Michael, sister-in-law Elizabeth “Liz” Wedge, brother-in-law Reginald “Reg” Nicholson and father and mother-in-law Wallace and Ellamay Deighan.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd. Summerside until Friday, Sept. 2nd where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 5:30 p.m.. Visiting hours on Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside.
Memorial donations in David’s memory to the Palliative Home Care Program or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
