Obituary of Doyle, Leo 'Clarence'

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, Leo ‘Clarence’ Doyle of Summerside, P.E.I., passed away on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, aged 92 years. Clarence was born in Charlottetown, P.E.I. to the late Leo and Georgina (nee Trainor) Doyle. Beloved husband of 69 years to Dorothy (nee White) and loving father of Wayne (Beth) Doyle, Brenda (Wes) Penwarden, Michael (Rita) Doyle, Alan (Terry) Doyle, Ann Marie (Kevin) Langdon and Doug (Janice) Doyle. Remembered and missed by his 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren as well many nieces and nephews. Survived by his brother-in-law John MacDougall and sister-in-law Fran Doyle. Besides his parents Clarence was predeceased by his siblings, Mike (Dorothy), Maurice (Doreen), Basil, Brian, and Mary Lee. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday Oct 12th, 2022 where a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Church, Summerside at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Reception to follow the internment in the church hall. Memorial donations in Clarence’s memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of PEI would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday Oct 11th from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Clarence was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and was part-owner of Inman's Plumbing and Heating. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff of the surgery floor at the PCH for their exceptional care and compassion.
