Obituary of Milton Stewart
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. surrounded by his family on 17th November, 2022 of Milton Donald Stewart of North Tryon, P.E.I., aged 76 years. Beloved husband of 53 years to Elsie (nee MacKenzie) Stewart. Father of Kim, Doug (Beth), and Wayne (Patti). Proud Poppy to granddaughters Paige (Steve), Jessica (Zach) and Ashley and great-granddaughter Codi-Lee. Survived by sisters Caroline, Sheila, Velvet (Ranny), Teresa (Gary) and Darlene, brothers Johnny (Sandra), David (Gail) and Brian (Grace) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, brother Jim, sister Sharon and brothers-in-law Leo and George. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday November 21, 2022 at 1:00 pm . Interment to take place in the Cape Traverse United Cemetery. Memorial donations in Milton’s memory to Cape Traverse United Church Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
