Obituary of Roger Wedge
The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Prince County Hospital on Monday November 21, 2022, of Clifford “Roger” Wedge of Summerside aged 68 years. Roger was born in Summerside to the late parents Clifford and Margaret Wedge.
Beloved husband of Debbie (nee Gallant) Wedge and loving father of Kelly Wedge, James (Devon Broome). Grandchildren Brettlyne, Selena Ford, Ciara Wedge, Austin Ford, Tyson Wedge and Carlee and Rylee Linch. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Janet (Wendell) Grady, Lloyd Wedge, Clarence (Muriel) Wedge, Keith Wedge, Betty Wedge, and Owen Wedge and sister-in-law to Barb Wedge.
Predeceased by brothers David Wedge and Michael (Infancy), son-in-law Randy Ford, brother-in-law Reg Nicholson, sisters-in-law Elizabeth Wedge and Melinda Campbell , niece Crystal Wedge and nephew David Wedge.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday November 25, 2022 where a funeral service at 10:30 am in the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Donations in Roger’s memory to PCH Foundation (with special attention for the Children’s Floor) or IWK Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
