Obituary of Burton Clyde Miner
The death occurred peacefully being comforted and held by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, December 8th, 2022 of Burton Clyde Miner of Andrews of Summerside and formerly of Quispamsis, NB., aged 86 years. Burton was born in St. George, NB. to the late Forest and Ethel (Parks) Miner.
His heart always remained with Debbie (MacNeill) Miner. Loving father of Kevin (Lori), Mark (Elizabeth) and Chris (Rachel). Also lovingly remembered by his 4 grandchildren Jordan, Aliyah, Shiloh and Seth and by his dog Peppy.
Survived by his brothers John, Wayne (Karen) and Eugene also by his special friend Zelma Poulin and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sisters Carol-Ann and Ellen and sister’s in-law Noreen and Rosalie.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Visiting hours on Monday December 12th, 2022 from 5 – 7 p.m. Memorial donations in Burton’s memory to Hospice of PEI or SPCA of Saint John, NB would be greatly appreciated. A funeral service and interment will take place in Deer Island, NB. to be announced.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
