Obituary of Owen Vaughan Hann
It is with heavy hearts, and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Owen Vaughan Hann at his late residence on Sunday, December 25th, 2022, aged 64 years. Owen was born in North Sydney, NS. to the late Morgan and Pearl (Joseph) Hann.
Beloved husband of Rita (Walsh) Hann and loving father of Nick (Lisa) Hann and Brittanny Hann-Bowness (Brett) . Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Knox, Daxx and Sutton.
Survived by his brothers and sisters Calvin (Cathy), Sharon (Dave) Robinson, Donn (Gayle) and Noreen (Glenn) Eavis and several nieces and nephews.
Put a candle in the window cause I feel I've got to move. Though I'm going, going I'll be coming home soon long as I can see the light.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, December 30th, 2022 then to St. Paul’s for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Donations in Owen’s memory to the funeral expense fund would be greatly appreciated. In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
