Obituary of Albin Joseph Arsenault
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023 of Albin “Chico” Joseph Arsenault of Summerside, aged 66 years. Albin was born in Summerside to the late Victorin and Claudia (Gallant) Arsenault.
Beloved boyfriend of Rosalie Ellsworth and loving father of Danielle (Nick) Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by his 3 grandchildren Keegan, Carson, and Brady. Survived by his brothers and sisters Adrien (Stella), Cecile (Gilbert) Arsenault, Michel (Debbie), Albert (Gayle), Paulette (Melvin) Arsenault, Eva-deceased (Blair) Arsenault, Simon (Cindy), Pierre ( Erin), uncle Julien (Alvina) Arsenault, aunt Lucie MacDonald and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at East Prince funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday February 6th, 2023, then to St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, P.E.I. for a funeral mass at 3:00 p.m. Interment to take place at a later date in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Albin’s memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
