Obituary of Tessie Clarissa McCarville
The death occurred at South Shore Villa, Crapaud of Clarissa (“Tessie”) Alberta McCarville of Borden-Carleton aged 90 years. Tessie was born in Charlottetown the daughter of Albert and Clarissa (MacFadyen) Ward. Wife of the late Roy McCarville and mother of Billy McCarville (Bev Noonan), Doreen Brazel (Dave), Susan Keefe (Ron), Kevin McCarville (Audra), Colleen McCarville and Michael McCarville (Lisa).
Grandmother to Aaron Brazel (Margaret-Anne Lee), Jillian Brazel-Larson (Chad), Melissa Keefe (Alfred Marshall), Mary Jane Keefe (Scott MacCallum), Patrick Keefe (Ashley Tierney), Spencer Palmer, Olivia Palmer, Jenna McCarville (Luke MacAusland), and Ben McCarville. Step grandmother to Tom Noonan (Tashia Sherry). Great Grandmother to several children. Predeceased by granddaughter Meranda McCarville.
She is survived by her sisters Barbara Paugh, Judie DesRoches (Armand) and Joan Ward and by her sister-in-law Caroline Ward. She was predeceased by her brothers Wendall and Eric and brother in-law Clifford Paugh. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews from the Ward and McCarville families.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, February 15th then to the East Prince Funeral Home chapel for a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Visiting hours on Tuesday, February 14th from 4 until 6 PM.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
