Obituary of Urbain Joseph Arsenault

On February 21, 2023, Urbain Arsenault of Summerside, age 70 years, passed away peacefully at the Prince County Hospital with family by his side. Born in St. Raphael, PEI to his late parents Ferdinand & Melina (Arsenault) Arsenault. 

Urbain is the husband of the late Ella Arsenault (nee Bulger), loving father of Pauline Dicy and extremely proud Pépé of Emilia Dicy. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Ivan Arsenault (Marg), sister Marcella Adams (Danny), and sister-in-law Lynn Bulger and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Andrew and Albert, sister Florence Paynter, parents-in-law Leo and Agnes Bulger and brother-in-law Joe Bulger.

During Urbain’s illness he received absolutely wonderful care from the doctors, nurses, technicians, and staff of Prince County Hospital. We are very grateful for all the volunteers from Hospice PEI and the Alzheimer’s Society, as your support and encouragement have been a blessing. On behalf of his family, we would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone for the kindness, compassion and support you gave to Urbain and his family.

He always looked forward to summers, visiting the baseball diamond to watch the ball games and collecting bottles. Our wish is for everyone to enjoy the baseball season and to remember to set aside the bottles and cans for the friendly neighborhood bottle collector!

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home. A private interment will take place at a later date in St. Brigid's Cemetery, Foxley River, PEI. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Hospice PEI, or the Alzheimer’s Society or consider donating your time by becoming a volunteer.
