Obituary of Diane June Muttart
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday, March 10th, 2023 of Diane June Muttart (nee MacAusland) of Summerside, aged 77 years. Diane was born in Summerside to the late Major and Myrtle (nee Rogers) MacAusland.
Beloved wife of Arnold Muttart and loving mother of Les (Mona) Muttart and Kathy (Ron) Enman. Also lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren Sheila -May, Miranda, Megan, Emily, Matthew and Samantha and her 6 great grandchildren Henry, Anna, Lewis, Gus, Abigail and Ellie.
Survived by her special brother Doug (Debbie) MacAusland, sister in-law Marie MacAusland and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother Donnie MacAusland.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, March 13th, 2023, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:30. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Diane’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
