Obituary of Una Shaw
At Andrew’s of Summerside on Saturday April 1st, 2023 Una Elizabeth (nee Burns) Shaw went peacefully to meet her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, at the aged 102 years. Una was born in Freetown, P.E.I. to the late Robert and Amy (nee Corby) Burns.
Beloved wife of the late Bayfield Shaw and loving mother of Gloria (Wilfred) MacArthur. Also lovingly remembered by her 2 grandchildren Dana (Bonnie) and Grant (Roxanne), 5 great grandchildren Korey (Sarah), Tyson, Shane (Alana), Sasha (Micah) and Brock and by 2 great great children Jaydan and Jasmine.
Survived by her brother Ralph (Doris) Burns. Predeceased by her son Keith Shaw.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday April 4th then to the Summerside United Pentecostal Church for a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the United Pentecostal Cemetery, Rosebank. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Una’s memory to the United Pentecostal Cemetery, Rosebank would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday evening from 6 – 8 p.m.
The family would like to extend special thanks to nurses and staff of Andrew's of Summerside for their tender loving care to our loved one, also for the home care workers and Dr. Katrina MacKay who also cared for her.
