Obituary of MacDonald, Lorraine Mary
The death occurred peacefully with loving family by her side at the PCH, Summerside PE., on Friday June 3rd, 2022 of Lorraine Mary MacDonald (nee Pineau) of Summerside, P.E.I. aged 83 years.
She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Eva (nee Gallant) Pineau. Beloved mother of Catherine, Summerside, Sue (Mike) Waite, Sherbrooke and son Michael, Summerside. Loving grandmother to Ryan (Joni) MacDonald, Alex (Emily) Naud, Bruce (Shannon) Naud, Felicia (Jon) MacDonald and David (Shaina) MacDonald and great-grandchildren Penny, Clark and Austin. Survived by her brother Bill (Karen) Pineau, Courtney, BC and nephews Brett and Craig.
Predeceased by her daughter Karen Anne. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lorraine's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or PEI Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
