Cody and all the family,
We were saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He had a rough couple months, but he's at rest now. We have fond memories of his trips to the east coast of Newfoundland. He was a vibrant man and will be missed by all who knew him.
May he rest in peace. Condolences to everyone.

Coady, Kim and Jamie,
It’s hard to imagine a world without Uncle Jim. Although we did not see him nearly as much as we would have liked, i have many great memories visiting Uncle Jim and Aunt Coady throughout the years. One of my earliest childhood memories is discovering pussy willows in Cold Lake when we visited them there. To this day, whenever I see pussy willows, I always think of that memory!
One thing is for certain, any and every memory I have of Uncle Jim involves him smiling or laughing. He was always a joy to be around. His big heart and lust for life were like no other. He will be missed dearly, but I know he will live on forever in the hearts and minds of all his family and friends.

Bev and I regret that we are not with the rest of the family today.
Throughout the years I have many fond memories of Jim. Some of these include fishing, always helping me untangle my fishing line when it got caught in the trees, clothes or on some occasions the hook got caught in my hand, blueberry picking.
As well ……
We had few tug of wars as energetic youths. Jim and I as kids shared the same bed. One night Jim took a swing at me but missed and put his fist through the bedroom wall. Boy, was Dad mad at us!
Jim’s friends, Dick Dawe, Jim Jackson and Jim Ryan, nicknamed Jim ‘Smokey’. I can recall Jim came home one night and Dad asked him if he was smoking. Jim answered “no”. Dad found 2 cigarettes in Jim’s pocket, Dad pinned Jim against the wall, never hit him, and Jim quickly learned a lesson to tell all and take the consequences of his actions.
Uncle Charlie, our neighbour, and Dad could never figure out what was happening to Uncle Charlies’ home made beer. Jim and his friend Dick Dawe figured out how to get inside UncleCharlie’s crawl space and consume some of the home brew beer.
As well, Jim was a superb ‘dancer’! Bev can vouch for this as at Kim and CJ’s wedding, there was an extremely Wild polka where her feet never touched the floor for the whole dance!
I know Jim lived his life by following the “GoldenRule” and this was Jim’s North Star and Guiding light.
Good bye my Brother, I know Coady and the family have connections with the Officer In Charge up there, and you are now with Mom,Dad,Shirley,Judy and Carolyn.
Goodbye until we meet again,
Your brother,
Bud

We are truly sorry that we cannot be there to celebrate Jim's life with you.
We first got to know Jim when he began to date Cody , a few years ago! He then became a loved member of our family , and a large part of our lives.
Jim was a great guy with a marvellous Newfie sense of humour. We recall he insisted that in 1949 Canada joined Newfoundland , not the other way around!
He will be sadly missed but will live on in our minds and hearts.
Armand and Judie.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
