Obituary of Myrtle Louise Gallant
The death occurred peacefully at Andrews of Summerside on Saturday June 3, 2023 of Myrtle Louise (Grady) Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 88 years. Myrtle was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to the late Roy and Doris (Gamble) Grady.
Beloved wife of the late Aubrey Gallant and loving mother of John (Connie) Gallant and Belinda (Grant) Beairsto. Also lovingly remembered by her 3 grandchildren Robin (Jennifer), Crystal, Trevor (Amy) and by her 3 great grandchildren Matthew, Jessica and Jordan.
Survived by her brother Major (Dolores) Grady and by her nephew Major Paul (Ruth) Grady.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Myrtle’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
