Obituary of Jack Arsenault
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital on Friday, September 8th, 2023, of John “Jack” Arsenault, aged 85 years. Jack was born in Summerside to the late Arthur and Helene Arsenault.
Beloved husband of the late Joan (Underhill) Arsenault and loving father of Jason Arsenault (Erin Mullaly). Also lovingly remembered by two grandchildren, Declan and Cohen, and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Irene (Gordie) Lyons, Ann Thomas, Peter (Anne) Green, Doris (Art) Gerard, and sister and brother-in-law Pauline and Jim Johnston.
Predeceased by his brother-in-law Joe Thomas.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, September 12th for a funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Donations in Jack’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
