Obituary of Betty Arsenault
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, November 16, 2023 of Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Arsenault (Kinch) of Summerside, aged 91 years. Betty was born in Alberton, PEI to the late George and Gladys (Barnett) Kinch. Beloved wife of Clarence Arsenault. Survived by the following brothers and sisters Wilma (Jerry), Pearl, Roma, Linda (Keith), May, Barry (Nora), Jack (Maureen), and Boyd as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sisters Marg, Faye, Georgie, Naveta, Susan and brothers George "Junior", Blair, and Dougie.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By request there will be no visitng hours or funeral service held. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Betty's memory can be made directly to PEI Humane Society.
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
