Obituary of John Olaufe Getson

The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, November 26, 2023 of John Olaufe Getson of Summerside, aged 61 years. John was born in Alberton to the late Albert Getson and Elaine Perry (MacDonald). Beloved husband of Maureen Getson and loving father of Matthew and Evan. Loving Grumpy to grandchildren Kingsley and Kylee.

Survived by the following brothers and sisters Dave Perry (Sandra) and Echo Perry (David Hogan), brother-in-law Kent Warren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Danny Perry.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023  from 2 - 4 p.m. Donations in John's memory to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
