Obituary of Isobel Minnie Coughlin
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI on Friday December 29, 2023 of Isobel Minnie Coughlin of Maypoint Home, Charlottetown, aged 71. Born in Summerside loving daughter to Robert and the late Gladys (née Paugh) and special stepdaughter to Janet.
Cherished sister to Susan (Rodney) Milligan, Nancy Gallant, Gwendy Bridges, Lori (Lori) Coughlin and stepsister Debbie Jeffery. Loving aunt to Robbi (Kim), Randy (Michelle), Sarah (Jarryd) and Kayla. Great aunt to Timothy (Danika) and Regan. Great, great aunt to Tiernan. Isobel is also survived by her extended family at the Maypoint Home.
Isobel was predeceased by her mother, brothers-in-law Henry and Rickey, as well as her nephew Joseph and niece Laurie.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd. Summerside until Saturday May 25th, 2024, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Followed by the interment in the East Bideford United Cemetery. Donations in Isobel memory can be made directly to the Queens County Residencial Services Maypoint Home.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
