Obituary of Verden Viles Graham
The death occurred peacefully at the South Shore Villa, Crapaud on Monday April 1st, 2024 of Verden Viles Graham (Reeves) of Crapaud and formerly of Summerside, PEI, aged 84 years. Verden was born in Freetown, PEI to the late George and Rettie Reeves (Shaw).
Beloved wife of the late Gordon Graham and loving stepmother to Mary Lee (Wilfredo) Fuentes, Edward (Sharon) Granham, Cliff (Karen) Graham. Also lovingly remembered by her step grandchildren Samantha (Phillip) Hood, Olivia and Elliott Granham, step great grandchildren Reece, Kenzie and Callie.
Survived by her brother Jackie Reeves, sister in-law Bernetta Reeves and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her first husband Amos Coughlin, sister Ruby (Olen) Sharpe, brothers Bayfield Reeves and Bruce Reeves, step grandson Paul Graham and niece Corina.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Interment to take place in the Freetown United Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Verden memory can be made directly to South Shore Villa, Crapaud.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
