Obituary of Florence Marie Stewart
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI on Thursday, April 10th, 2024 of Florence Marie (Rogers) Stewart of Albany, PEI., aged 74 Years. Florence was born in Summerside to the late Leighen and Marion Rogers.
Beloved wife of Lester Stewart and loving mother of Marion Stewart (Scott MacKendrick), Stephen Stewart (Stephanie Leavitt) and Joanne Stewart (Joe Baxter). Also lovingly remembered by her 2 grandchildren Michael and Jenna Stewart.
Survived by her sister Faye Malone, brothers Arthur (Jessie) Rogers, Roy (Dianna) Rogers, brothers in-law Lucien Duffenais, Justin McCourt, Bruce Stewart and many niece s and nephews.
Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Wilfred (Ruby)Rogers, Vera (Everett Mayhew, Gordon Rogers, Arnold (Liza) Rogers, Shirley Duffenais, Velda McCourt, Judy Stewart, Barry Rogers and brother in-law Peter Malone.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, April 15, 2024 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in the Bedeque United Church Cemetery. Memorial donations in Florence’s memory can be made directly to Prince County Hospital Foundation. Visiting hours on Sunday from 6 – 8 p.m.
