Obituary of Jason Joseph Arsenault
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 of Jason Joseph Arsenault of Summerside, aged 46 years. Jason was born in Summerside to his father Paul (Darlene) and mother Patricia Arsenault.
He leaves to morn his long term girlfriend Sarah Cameron, his sisters Michelle (Eddie) Blanchard and Charlene (Mark) Burke, nephews Logan and Hunter, niece Madison, grandmother Anita Poirier, mother and father in-law Douglas and Dyan Cameron, sisters-in-law Julia (Jason) MacCormack and Denise Cameron (Joel Yorston), and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will also be missed by his work family at the PEI Bag Company & Sarah’s work family at Brothers Two.
Predeceased by his brother-in-law Brent O’Brien, grandparents Pascal Poirier and Elmer and Dorothy DesRoches.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday April 19th, 2024 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Jason’s memory can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. By personal request there will be no visiting hours.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
