Obituary of Brian Harold Coughlin
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI following a courageous battle with cancer on Friday August 16, 2024 of Brian Harold Coughlin of Summerside, aged 67 years. Brian was born in Alberton, PEI to the late Edwin and Freda (Lockhart) Coughlin.
Loving partner to Delores Stuckless. Father to Luanne (Joe Chaisson), Travis (Shelley Clements) Jarett (Jessie). Grandfather to Devin, Tate (Ashley), Hanna (Tyril), Lainy, Candice, Carter (Courtney), Camron, Cayden (Jessie), great grandfather to Ethan, Ember, Jax, Isla and Taylor.
Survived by sisters Millie (Lester) MacKay, Helen Dumville, Sylvia (Charles), Debbie (Marcel) Pineau, brother Russell (Ruby) and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sisters and brothers in-law Francis (Walter) Schurman, Jean (Rankin) Cornish, Wilbert Dumville, daughter in-law Sasha Richard and nephews Darren Cornish and Blake Coughlin.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd, Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Interment to take place in the United Cemetery, Brae, PEI. Donation's in Brian's memory can be directly to the Canadian Cancer Society.
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
