Obituary of Edward Joseph Gaudet
The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Prince County Hospital on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, of Edward Joseph Gaudet, of Summerside, and formerly of St. Raphael, PE, aged 68 years.
Edward was born in Summerside to his late parents Dolor and Rosaline (Cormier) Gaudet.
Beloved husband of Cathy Gaudet (Gallant). Stepfather of Tracy, April and Tina. Also remembered by his step grandchildren, great step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Betty (Ron) D’Cunha, Clifford (Thelma) Gaudet, Gloria (Scott) Tallman, Johnny (Cathy) Gaudet, Joanne Gaudet, and Edmund Gaudet (Vicky Knapp). He will also be missed by his brother in-law Norman (Linda) Gallant, sister in-law Theresa (Randy) Bull and brother in-law Eli (Linda) Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. By personal request there will be no funeral service. There will be a graveside service in the Notre Dame du Mont-Carmel Cemetery, Mont-Carmel on Thursday October 3rd, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
