Obituary of Clifford Thomas Gallant
Early in the morning of 30th October Clifford Thomas Gallant left us to be with the lord. He was born to Joseph and Emily Gallant on January 3, 1933. Clifford worked as a painting contractor most of his life. (Andrew’s and Gallant).
He spent the last four years of his life at Wedgewood Manor where he received loving, compassionate, and dignified care. He loved playing cards, playing sports, the Montreal Canadians and he loved spending time camping with family and friends. His greatest passion and love was reserved for his wife and family. And with a quiet resolve, he offered guidance, advice, compassion, and unconditional love.
He is survived by his children Marion (David) McNeill, Colleen (Jim) Sweeny, Brent (Gloria) Gallant, Ron (Susan) Gallant, and Tanya (Robert) Wylie. He is a proud Grampie of 16 grandchildren as well as 12 great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents and his wife Theresa Gallant. Also predeceased by his brothers and sisters, as well as grandsons Matthew Gallant, Barrett Gallant and granddaughter Jennifer Gallant.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to East Prince funeral home, 245 Pope Rd, Summerside. A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Summerside on November 5th at 3:00 p.m. Interment immediately following the service. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home from 1:00-2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made directly to St. Paul’s Parish or the Wedgewood Manor.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
