Obituary of Raymond James Waite
The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family at the O’Leary Community Hospital on Thursday, October 31st, 2024 of Raymond James Waite, of Richmond, and formerly of Ontario, aged 75 years.
Raymond was born in Bayside to his late parents, Robert Sr and Mae (nee Winchester) Waite. Raymond had a long career as a Lift Truck Operator at A.G Simpson a division of General Motors in Scarborough Ontario. Loving father of Jason Waite and grandfather of Justin and Brandon Waite. Survived by his brothers and sisters Doris Cameron, Roberta Cole, Lloyd (Cheryl) Waite , Hal Waite, Lester (Mary) Waite, Jane (Gary) Campbell, Eldon Waite, Kate (Dave) McAndrew, Doug Waite, Paul Waite, Thane Waite, Sheila (Donnie) Mayhew, and sister-in-law Noreen Waite, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Predeceased by his brothers Claude, Robert Jr, Carl, his sister-in-law Darlene, and his niece Tracy Cole Freiwald.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to take place at the Lot 14 United Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 until time of service.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
