Obituary of Andy Paynter
The death occurred suddenly on Monday November 25th, 2024 of Andrew “Andy” Edward Paynter of Summerside, PEI, aged 63 years. Andy was born in Summerside to the late George and Leola (Gallant) Paynter.
Beloved husband of Maxine (Martin) Paynter and loving father of Devin and Riley Paynter.
Survived by his brothers and sister John Paynter, George (Beverly) Paynter, Norma (Gordon) Campbell and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Clarence and Austin Paynter.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday December 2nd, 2024 where a Celebration of his Life will be held in the funeral home chapel from 2 – 4 p.m. Bring along your instruments and join the family for a time of music in Andy’s Memory. In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
