Obituary of Claudette Theresa Arsenault
The death occurred suddenly at her home on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, of Claudette Theresa Arsenault (nee Reid) of Summerside and formerly of Wellington age 86 years.
Claudette was born in Wellington, PEI, to her late parents, Dr. Raymond and Bernice Reid. Beloved wife of Ernest and loving mother of Craig (Tammy), Krista Nicholas and Todd.
Also lovingly remembered by grandchildren: Luke (Lacey), Maggie and Denver and great-grandchild Amelia.
Survived by brother George Reid and sisters Deanna Gallant, Cheryl (Blair) Doucette, Noella (Richard) Gallant, and sister-in-law Eileen Reid. Adored aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Predeceased by brother Roger Reid, three siblings in infancy, son-in-law Doug Nicholas, daughter-in-law Tracey Hupman Sonier and brother-in- law, Gerry Gallant.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd, then to St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Summerside, on Wednesday, December 11th, for a funeral mass at 10:30 am.
Visitation Tuesday, December 10th, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
