Obituary of Frank Gallant
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday December 6, 2024 of Frank Gallant of Miscouche, P.E.I., aged 76 years. Frank was born in Richmond, PEI to the late Leo and Anna Gallant.
Beloved husband of the late Judy Gallant (McMillan) and loving father to Mike (Christa) Gallant. He will be dearly missed by his special grandchildren Dylan and Madelyn.
Survived by his brother and sisters Melvin (Joy), Marie Palmer, Orella (Byron) Warren, Linda Gallant, Ivan, Dianne (Gatan) Landry, sister in-law Irene and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Eddy (Pat), Tony, Arnold, Nancy and Shirley Gallant, brother-in-law Stanley Palmer.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday December 10, 2024 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 9:00 a.m. Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist church cemetery at a later date. Donations in Frank’s memory can be made directly to the Miscouche Fire Department. Visiting hours on Monday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
