Obituary of Giuliano D'Amato
The death occurred at his residence in Summerside, Prince Edward Island on Friday, January 3, 2025, after a lengthy illness, of Giuliano “Julian” D’Amato, aged 48 years.
Julian was born and spent most of his life in Vancouver, British Columbia, before residing in Summerside, Prince Edward Island for the last 8 years.
Julian was a loving and devoted father to his sons, Sean D’Amato and Daniel D’Amato, and the best friend to his former spouse, Carla Kelly (Craig Costain), of St. Lawrence.
Julian will be deeply missed by his partner, Amanda Mahar, his brothers, Vince (Nicki) D’Amato and Devon (Selina) Saretsky, and sisters, Angela (Roland) D’Amato van den Hout, April Saretsky and Narissa (Alan) La Pierre. Julian is also survived by his mother, Rosa Paterson, nieces, Emilie, Alessandra, Sydney and Kayla, nephew, Jordan, mother-in-law Audrey Kelly, sisters-in-law Shawn Kelly and Paige Kelly.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd. Summerside. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday January 10th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
