Obituary of Walfield, Cheryl Lea
The death occurred peacefully of Cheryl Lea Walfield, surrounded by her loving family at home, Linkletter, PE on Wednesday September 2, 2020, aged 62 years. Cheryl was born in Summerside, PE to the late John and Amy (Arsenault) Poirier.
Beloved wife of Fred Walfield and loving Mother of Tammy (Hugh) Fidler, Amy Walfield (KK Thompson) Ryan (Cortney) Walfield. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Brooke, Dawson, Cyarra, Kaylee, Emerson, Khloee, Kendrick and Baby Boy (December '20).
Survived by her sisters Doreen Arthur, Jane Poirier, brother Wayne Poirier and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sisters; Winnie MacDonald, Adele Crozier, Sandra Duquette, three brothers in infancy, and brothers-in-law; Billy Arthur, Hugh MacDonald and Dale Enman.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside where a Private Celebration of Life and funeral service will be held. Memorial donations in Cheryl's name may be made directly to the charity of choice.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
