Obituary of Bryenton, Reginald
The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Monday, August 17th, 2020 of Reginald Bryenton of Kensington, P.E.I., aged 86 years. Reg was born in Hamilton, P.E.I. to the late Edgar and Carrie (Brander) Bryenton. He joined the RCAF at the age of 17, and retired as a Captain after 30 years of service to his country. Beloved husband of the late Jean (Middelveen) Bryenton and loving father of Paula Bryenton (Peter Pollio) and Faye Bryenton. Remembered and missed by grandchildren Luke (Lisa) Pollio, Cara Pollio (Wade Dargin), Caterina Pollio (Anthony Patten), Daniel Cousins and Gavin Cousins and great-grandchildren Siena Pollio and Lorenzo Patten. Survived by his sister Thurza (John) Nicholson, brother Wallace (Betty) Bryenton, sister in-law Phyllis Bryanton and brothers in-law John (Patricia) Middelveen and Fred (Leona) Middelveen as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother George (Gladys), Heath, Ralph, Jim and Delmar (Jo). Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Private Family Interment to take place at a later date in the Malpeque People's Cemetery, Malpeque. In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
