Obituary of Peters, Darlene Florence
Darlene Florence (nee Ellis) Peters of Summerside, died peacefully at her late residence, on Sunday, August 16th, 2020, aged 62 years. Darlene was born in Summerside, PEI to Marion Simpson (nee Hardy) and the late Thane Ellis.
Beloved wife of Thomas "Tom" Peters and loving mother to Clayton (Jana) and Lincoln (Kristy). Lovingly remembered by her 4 grandchildren Elli Joe, Carling, Norah and Brinley.
Survived by her sisters Roxanne (Gordon) Campbell, Nadine (Francis) Hendricken and Nicole Ellis (Don Moore) and her Pops Gary Simpson.
Predeceased by her sister Sharon (Alan) MacLeod.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private funeral service will be held. Interment to take place at a later date in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations can be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
