Obituary of Shaw, Alfred "Alfie" Edwan
The death occurred as the result of an accident on Thursday, August 13th, 2020 of Alfred "Alfie" Edwan Shaw of Summerside and formerly Richmond, P.E.I. , aged 77 years. Alfie was born in Enmore, P.E.I to the late William and Pearl (MacArthur) Shaw.
Beloved husband of Evelyn (Gallant) Shaw and loving father of Darlene (James) Noseworthy, Bill (Michelle Arsenault), Judy Shaw, Gary and Bonnie (Martin) Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Survived by his sister Amy MacArthur, many brothers and sisters in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Bert, Bertha, Georgina, Lily, Kenny, Milton and James (infancy).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Due to Covid -19 restrictions private visiting hours and a private funeral service will take place with interment to follow in the Nazarene Cemetery, Mount - Pleasant. Memorial donations in Alfie's memory to the Salvation Army Food Bank would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
