Obituary of MacAusland, Polly
The death occurred suddenly at her late residence on Friday, August 7th, 2020 of Polly MacAusland of Summerside, aged 70 years. Polly was born in Cape Breton, NS., to the late Herman and Elga (Buchanan) Harris.
Beloved wife of Dwight Gallant and loving mother of Grant MacAusland (Tammy Clow) and Seasen Gallant. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Molly, Gibson, Jake, Morgan, Sara-Lynn and Darrien.
Survived by her sister Laura (Wayne) Ryder, brother Donald "Ben" Harris (Irma Doucette), brother-in-law Fred Kanne and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sister Mona Kanne.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Memorial donations in Polly's memory to PEI Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
