Obituary of Locke, Cliburne Raeford
The death occurred on Tuesday, June 30th, 2020 of Cliburne Raeford Locke of Springvale, P.E.I., aged 87 years. Cliburne was born on the Locke Road, son of the late Raeford and Harriet (Leard) Locke.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Lillian (Yeo) Locke and loving father to Evan Locke (Susan) of Northam, Colleen Canfield (Harleigh) of Margate, Ellen Locke Doiron (Randy) of Springvale. Grandpy to 6 grandchildren; Melissa, Melanie, Matthew, Luke, Charley and Colin and 9 great grandchildren.
Survived by his sisters and brother Thelma Johnston (late Jim) of Vernon, B.C., Mary Cooke (late Cyril), Norma (Roscoe) Barbour, Betty Wallace (late Billy) all of Alberton, Wayne (Margaret) Locke of O'Leary, sister-in-law Sylvia Yeo (late Charley) and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother John (Norma) Locke and daughter Sarah Ann (infancy).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Burial to take place in the Cascumpec United Church Cemetery, Cascumpec at a later date. Memorial donations in Cliburne's memory to the Cascumpec United Church Cemetery or Camp Abby would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
