Obituary of Hayes, Genevieve "Gen" Ann
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, May 10th, 2020 of Genevieve "Gen" Ann Hayes (Muise) of Summerside, aged 87. Genevieve was born in Yarmouth, N.S. to the late Frederick and Evangeline Muise.
Beloved wife of the late Earle Hayes and loving mother of Tony (Cyndi) of Hubbards, N.S., Hugh (Marcia) of Melbourne, ON., Kimberley (Greg) MacDonald of Woodstock, ON., Heather Beacham (Wade Drummond) of Freetown, Ann Hayes-McKenzie (Nick) of Charlottetown and Peter (Suzy) of Edmonton, AB. Also lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Survived by her brother Fred (Marjorie) Muise, sister Bernice LeBlanc, numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Clifford, Philip, Rita, Ruth and Joseph "Buddy".
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Completed funeral arrangements to be announced at later date due to COVID-19. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Genevieve's memory to St. Paul's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
