Obituary of Doucette, Ernest Joseph

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, April 23rd, 2020 of Joseph Ernest (Ernie) Doucette of Summerside, P.E.I, aged 92 years. Ernie was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to his late parents Edmond and Celina (Perry) Doucette. Beloved husband of the late Jean Marie Doucette (nee Gaudet) and loving Father of Gary (Dianne) of Summerside, Wayne (Linda) of Summerside, Alan (Jodi) of Calgary, AB., Blair (Georgia) of Oakville, ON., Gwen Murray (Todd) of Summerside, Darlene MacCormack of Summerside and daughter-in-law Daphne of Saskatoon, SK. Also lovingly remembered by his 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister Bea Leclair (Paul). Besides his wife, Ernie was predeceased by his son Ron and brothers Don, John and Robert. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Arrangements to be announced at a later date. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Ernie's memory to St. Paul's Cemetery or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
