Obituary of Park, Lydia
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, September 19th, 2019 of Lydia Park (nee Jesso) of Summerside, aged 72 years. Lydia was born in Red Brook, Nfld. to the late Stan and Rita (nee March) Jesso.
Beloved wife of Nolen Park and loving mother of Donna Marie Park, Summerside, Ralph Jesso, Ontario. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Erica, Nathan, Jessica, Cody, Dillon, Jaxan and Tyson and her great grandchildren Racheal, Hunter and Austin.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Bernie, Cynthia (Clayton), Irving, Marie, Geneviene, Hazel (Gus), Marilyn (Charlie), Ross, Wallace (Corina), sister-in-law Gloria, special cousin Linda and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brothers Fintie and Cletus, brothers-in-law Raymond and Clyde and sister-in-law Margie.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations in Lydia's memory to the funeral expense fund would be greatly appreciated. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours held.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
