Obituary of McKeown, George "Ross"
The death occurred peacefully with his loving wife by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 of Geo. "Ross" McKeown of Spring Hill, P.E.I. and formerly of West Point, P.E.I. and Keene ON., aged 80 years. Ross was born in Toronto, ON. to the late Bill and Marjorie McKeown.
Beloved husband of Jean (nee Mackie) McKeown and loving father of Marjorie Riendeau (Michelle), George McKeown Jr., Kathie O'Hara (Donald Bryer) and Dan McKeown (Cindy). Also lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Bill and Bob McKeown, Jean and Norma Kenyon.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Memorial donations in Ross's memory to the Summerside Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
