Obituary of Ramsay, Cecil Elwood Joseph
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday July 17th, 2022, of Cecil Elwood Joseph Ramsay of Summerside, aged 92 years. Cecil was born in Port Hill, P.E.I. to the late Colin and Myrtle (Lidstone) Ramsay.
Beloved husband of Emily (DesRoches) Ramsay and loving father of Sue DesRoches, Jocelyne Ramsay (John Willcox), Greg Ramsay (Eileen Park), Carolyn (Paul) Charron, Julie (Wayne) Cullen and Bill (Kathy) Ramsay. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Erica, Sabrina, Colin (Elya), Christopher, Brandon, Emily, Louis, Renée, Samantha, Patrick and Nichols, great grandchildren Donavan, Capri, Annabelle and Paisley and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers and sisters David, Ruth (Ambie) Boyle, Sally (Ted) Wiltshire, Blanche (Leonard) Deighan, Preston, Lorne and Elsie all in infancy, Berta (Raymond) Risteen and Norma Waite-Curry (Ernest).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday July 22nd where a funeral mass will be held in St. Paul's Church, Summerside at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Cecil's memory can be made to the Hearth and Stoke Foundation. Visiting hours on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
