Obituary of Milligan-Pereschuk, Leona Audrey
The passing occurred peacefully at the Margaret Bahen Hospice, New Market, ON. on June 2nd, 2019 of Leona Audrey Milligan (nee MacDonald) of Uxbridge, ON. aged 85 years. Leona was born in West Devon, P.E.I to the late Leo and Florence MacDonald (nee Chisholm).
Beloved wife of William Pereschuk and the late Ronald Milligan. Loving mother of Rodney (Susan) of Ellerslie, P.E.I., Danny (Val), Sherry (Brian) Penney, Cindy (Grant) Elliott all of Alberta, Stephen (Lesley) of B.C., Linda (Manny) Rego, Janet (Rick) Kircoff, Keith and daughter-in-law Linda all of Ontario. Lovingly remembered by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Survived by her sister Claudia (Joe) Pineau of Cavendish, sisters-in-law Elma MacDonald of O'Leary and Valerie (Sterling) Moore of Ellerslie and brother-in-law Vic (Irene) Milligan of Ontario. Leona was predeceased by her sons Barry, Douglas Scott and Roger, her sisters Refina Murray, Inez White, Velma Ross and Joy Saunders, her brother Horace, brothers-in-law Harold Ross and Pete Saunders.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Tuesday, June 11th, then to the Freeland Presbyterian Church, Freeland for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in Freeland Presbyterian Cemetery, Freeland. Memorial donations in Leona's memory to the Margaret Bahen Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
