Obituary of Aitken, Neil "Skip"
The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 of Neil âSkip" Aitken of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 80 years. Skip was born in Summerside to the late Douglas and Mary (nee Arsenault) Aitken.
Beloved husband of the late Obeline "Obie" (nee LaPierre) Aitken and loving father of Charlene (Cory) Baglole of Cochrane, AB, and Peter Aitken of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Memphis Aitken and Kearstyn McPherson.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters Gary, Summerside, Allen (Betty), Toronto, ON., Donna (Wayne) Bowlby, Greenwood, NS., Debbie Burgess, Middleton, NS., Darlene (Jim) Mills, Mount-Hope, ON., Doug (Isabella), Scarborough, ON., Hal (Anna), Rockwood, ON., Robert, Ontario and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers David and Richard Aitken.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Memorial donations in Skip's memory to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery at a late date.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
