Obituary of Perry, Mabel Catherine
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the South Shore Villa, Crapaud, P.E.I. on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019 of Mabel Catherine (nee Hughes) Perry of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 95 years. Mabel was born in Norboro, P.E.I. to the late Marshall and Ella (nee Smith) Hughes.
Beloved wife of the late Peter Perry and loving mother of Myrt McCardle (Garth Bradshaw), Charlottetown and Ed (Marg) Perry, Nanaimo, BC. Also lovingly remembered by her 4 grandchildren Chrisy Hardy (Gordon Smith), Summerside, Gregg McCardle, Charlottetown, Maureen McCardle and Erin McCardle - Stiel (Phil) all of Whistler, BC., 4 great-grandchildren Kelly and Sheamus McCardle, Sara and Maggie Stiel.
Survived by her sisters Marjorie Clow (Earl deceased) and Florence Rooney (Gerald deceased) and nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her daughter Marsha Hardy, son-in-law Wilfred McCardle, sisters Elsie Smith, Irene Lahey, brothers Gerald and Ernest Hughes, granddaughters Kelly Ann McCardle and Tracey Lee Hardy.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, February 22nd, then to St. Paul's church for a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Mabel's memory to Prince County Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday from 12:00- 1:30 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
