Obituary of Gallant, Flora Marie
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, February 13th, 2019 of Flora Marie (nee Arsenault) Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 95 years. Flora was born in Mont-Carmel, P.E.I. to the late Theophile and Sarah (nee Richard) Arsenault.
Beloved wife of the late Eugene Gallant and loving mother of Ronnie (Cathy), Souris, P.E.I., John, Hamilton, ON., and Paulette (Darrell) Boutilier, Hackett's Cove, NS., daughters-in-law Sheila Guay, Charlottetown and Ellen, Hamilton, ON. Also lovingly remembered by her 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Fred (Albina), Benny (Lila), Angele (Melvin) Bernard, Clara Bernard and Annie (Frankie) Arsenault, sisters-in-law Theresa, Irene and Martina Arsenault and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Flora was predeceased by her sons David and Gerard Gallant, brothers Gerard, Lionel, Tilmon, and Joseph, brothers-in-law Martin Richard and Paul Bernard, sisters-in-law Bernice and Della Arsenault. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, February 16th, then to St. Paul's Church for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Flora's memory to Notre Dame du Mont-Carmel Building Fund or Canadian Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday from 5 - 7 p.m.
St. Paul's CWL will hold a Prayer Service on Friday, February 15th, at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
