Obituary of Landry, Marie Reine
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, January 1st, 2019 of Marie Reine Landry (nee Larocque) of Summerside, P.E.I, aged 89 years. Marie was born in Ottawa, ON. to her late parents Francois and Dora (nee Claude) Larocque.
Beloved wife of Alcide "Syd" Landry and loving mother of Helene DeSutter of Tilsonburg, ON., Robert (Theresa) of Wainwright, AB., Diane (Ted) Poirier of Summerside, and Tanya (Wayne) Collicutt of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brother Gerry Larocque of Ottawa, ON.
Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by sisters Cecile, Donalda, and Margot, her brother Lionel, her son-in-law Danny DeSutter and her sister-in-law Helen Larocque.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, January 5th, 2019 then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marie's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday evening, 5 - 7 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
