Obituary of Sproule, Ivan Louis
The death occurred peacefully with his wife by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday March 12th, 2022 of Ivan Louis Sproule, aged 69 years. Ivan was born in Digby, NS to the late Kenneth and Fern (nee Wentzell) Sproule.
Beloved husband of Diane Sproule and loving father of Shawn Sproule, Troy (Angela) Sproule, Nick (Kelly) MacLean, Kyle (Cheryl) Sproule and Calvin Sproule. Also lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren MacKenzie, Olivia, Damon, James, Drayden and Jaxon and 2 great-grandchildren Joseph and Neveah.
Survived by his siblings Franklin (Valerie Jean), Major (Linda), Larry (Norma), Linda (David) Parks, mother-in-law Hattie MacKinnon, brothers and sisters in-law James MacKinnon, Robert MacKinnon (Theresa Cormier), Allison MacKinnon (Susan Lee Manning) and Darlene MacKinnon (Jamie Pringle) and several nieces and nephew.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 9th, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations in Ivan's memory can be made directly to Cerebral Palsy PEI or PEI Literacy Alliance. Visiting hours Friday April 8th, 2022 from 6 - 8 p.m. Mask are mandatory.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
