Obituary of Fitzpatrick, Mary Henrietta
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her late residence, on Monday, September 17th, 2018 of Mary Henrietta "Hennie" Fitzpatrick (nee Sonier) of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 90 years. Henrietta was born in Summerside, to the late Peter and Annie (nee Richards) Sonier. Beloved wife of her first husband, the late Ernest Arsenault and her seconded husband the late Ralph Fitzpatrick.
Loving mother of Erskine (Betty) Arsenault, George (Cheryl) Fitzpatrick, Kevin (Maryanne) Fitzpatrick, Brian (Donna) Fitzpatrick, Vickie Fitzpatrick - Deveau, Glenn (Glenda) Fitzpatrick and daughter-in-law Millie Arsenault. Also lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Norman, Owen, Joe, Guelda, Yvonne, Art, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Ernest Junior Arsenault, brothers and sisters Henry, Jean, Julia, and Gerald at a young age.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Friday, September 21st, then to St. Paul's Church for a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Henrietta's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday evening from 7 - 9 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
