Obituary of Costain, Nancy Marlene
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, May 13th, 2018 of Nancy Marlene Costain (nee Shields) of St. Nicholas, P.E.I., aged 61 years. Nancy was born in Summerside to her late parents Bernie and Evelyn (nee Burt) Shields.
Beloved wife of Roy Costain and loving mother of Rodney (Heather) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 2 grandchildren Christopher and Kathryn Costain and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters Darlene Shields, Carol-Anne (Wallace) Coles, Pauline Rogers and Jean (David) Bertram, her brothers Wendell Shields, Raymond (Brenda) Shields, Clayton Shields and David (Dianne) Shields, and her brother and sister-in-law Earl (Camilla) Costain.
Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her brother-in-law Ellsworth Rogers.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, May 17th where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Nancy's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the P.E.I. Lung Association would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
