Obituary of Costain, Pearl Ruby
The death occurred peacefully at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O'leary, P.E.I. on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 of Pearl Ruby Costain (nee MacLeod) formerly of Summerside, aged 92 years. Pearl was born in Bideford, P.E.I. to her late parents, Howard and Phoebe (nee Hatley) McLeod.
Beloved wife of the late Gordon Costain and loving mother of John (Nancy) Costain of Dartmouth, N.S., Carol (George) Power of Ottawa, ON., Bette (Wayne) Helpard of Victoria, B.C. and Marsha (Charles) Doull of Bedeque, P.E.I. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Michael, Darrell, David, Deisha, Tania, Heidi, Sheri-Lynn, Corey and Derek along with many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband, Pearl was predeceased by her son Wesley, her brother Wallace and her sisters June, Ellen, and Maude.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, May 15th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the Miminegash Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pearl's memory to the Miminegash Cemetery Fund or the Bedeque United Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday evening, 5 - 7 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
