Obituary of Bagnell, Murray Alexander

Murray Alexander Bagnell, 70, of Freetown, PE, born in Sydney, NS., passed away on Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 from a brief battle with cancer at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. Murray was married to his best friend and love of his life, Sandra C. Bagnell (Dawe) for 48 years. He was a devoted father to Kelly Bagnell, Kara Lee Jess (David), Leah Connor (Shane) and Scott Bagnell (Bobbi). His 6 grandchildren, Amber, Ethan, Carter, Jaise, Saphora, Koda, and great grandson Lincoln, brought him endless joy. He was raised in a small fishing village called Kennington Cove on Cape Breton Island, this will always be a place of fond memories for his family having spent endless summer days on the beach there. Murray will forever be remembered by the many friends and family he cherished, for his wonderful stories and love of life. Murray found great comfort in the hope found at John 5:28, 29 which will also comfort his family during this sad time. Murray is predeceased by his father, Alexander Bagnell, his sister Laura and brother Clarence. He is survived by his mother Olive (MacInnis) and brothers Danny, Walter, Murdock and sister Florence. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Cremation has taken place. Interment to take place at a later date, at Willow Grove Cemetery, Louisburg, NS. A memorial will be held on Sunday, April 29th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 20 Taylor Rd. Summerside, PE. The Family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Prince County Hospital for the care and dignity they gave to Murray during this difficult time.
